Quarterly Business Planning Session

Calling All Service-Based Business Owners

Stop holding back business growth and start building the business of your dreams. One project at a time.

Do you have a never-ending (and ever-growing) list of things you want to do for your business?
Do you keep telling yourself you’ll start working on your business when things slow down?
Are you so overwhelmed by all you want to do for your business, you have no idea where to start?

If you answered YES to any of these, my Quarterly Business Planning Session is for you!

online business manager

You know how it is. You’ve got a bunch of brilliant ideas to grow and shape your business.

And you keep telling yourself you’ll get them done ‘when things slow down.’ But the reality is, things never slow down. The world never stops. And until you make and take the time to focus on your business, you’ll never get through that wish list you’ve been building for years.

But one of the hardest things of being a business owner is finding the time, motivation and focus to work on your ideas, plans and dreams for your business.

Between client work, admin, IT dramas, accounts wrangling (not to mention all the things you have to manage outside of work) those for-your-business ideas seem to permanently stay in the ‘one day’ basket.

Well, my friend, let’s forget about one day and start focusing on TODAY.

Lets pull those ideas out of your head and build an action plan so you can turn ONE of your brilliant ideas into reality over the next 12 weeks.

We’ll take it one goal at a time

With so many ideas, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why the first step of my session is to identify 2 or 3 ideas you want to work on and narrow them down to the ONE thing you’re going to achieve this quarter.

We’re not going to build out a 5-year plan or capture your entire year’s business operations in this session.

We’re going to focus on ONE goal. ONE thing you can realistically do. ONE idea you can take from the ‘I want to do’ list and put it firmly on the ‘Look what I did!’ list.

I feel like I’m back on track with my workload.

Working with Steph to reduce overwhelm was the best thing I’ve done for my business. She helped me set achievable goals and was alongside me taking action on practical steps to get there. Her accountability check-ins were the support I needed to get things done and start creating new habits. I feel like I’m back on track with my workload and that’s a huge relief. I highly recommend Steph for her talents in digging business owners out of overwhelm, and helping navigate the mindset shift needed for long-term change to better planning habits.

How It Works

Here’s what will happen when you book your Quarterly Business Planning Session with me.

1. Pre-session questionnaire:
When you book your session, I’ll send you a short questionnaire about which ideas and goals you might want to work on first. You’ll send that to me so I can do pre-planning and idea validation before our call.

2. Quarterly Business Planning Session (1 hour via Zoom):
My one-on-one session isn’t one of those fluffy rah, rah calls where you get to have a good chat and walk away a supportive, ‘I believe in you!’

(I mean, I do believe in you. But I also believe in the power of planning. And documenting. And doing. Which is what this is all about.)

In our session, we’ll discuss your ideas and narrow them down to the ONE we’re going to focus on. Then we’ll work out all the steps needed to make sure you can achieve your goal this quarter.

3. Setting up a project
While we’re live on the call, we’ll set up a project in your project management software. We’ll enter tasks, deadlines, and milestones to make sure you maintain your momentum, and motivation. (And if you’ve never gotten around to really using your project management software properly, don’t worry. This is a fantastic way to see how you can harness its power to help you get things done!)

4. Blocking time
Also live on the call, we’ll block realistic chunks of time in your calendar each week for you to work on your goal. (And when I say block time. I mean BLOCK the time. No shifting it to make room for client work. Pretend this time is a non-negotiable client commitment with YOU as the client.)

5. Accountability check in
Now while I know you’re going to be diligent about following our plan, studies show you’ve got a 95% chance of completing a goal if you have a specific accountability appointment with someone you’ve committed to.

Guess what? I’m your someone!

At the halfway mark of your quarterly project, we’ll have a 30-minute check in to see how you’re going, ask any questions and make sure you’re staying focused on building that new business reality.

And if you have any other questions during your 12-week plan, I’m just an email away.

What you’ll achieve with your Quarterly Business Planning Session

From our first session, you’ll walk away with a tangible and easy-to-follow plan to getting your ONE thing done this quarter.

You’ll have:

– Clearly outlined what you want to achieve this quarter (and why)
– Made sure your idea is relevant, realistic, and achievable
– Documented ALL the steps you need to achieve your goal
– Put those steps into your project management software
– Allocated the time you’ll need to work on it

And with your follow up call with me, you’ll have no excuses! I’ll keep you accountable.

Then if you do the work – focus, follow the plan and do the work – by the end of the quarter, you’ll have achieved your ONE goal. That thing you’ve been trying to get to – it will be done!

She is my 'north star'

For a long time I was just plotting along in my business, jumping from one shiny idea to the next without any clear direction. The best decision I ever made was to hire Steph. She quickly created order in the chaos, both on paper and in my head. She is my ‘north star’, keeping things moving in the right direction. And yes, sometimes I do deviate from the plan, but she is always there to pull me back to do what needs to be done. She is professional, organised, a very fast worker and knowledgeable.
